Faster RAID5 and RAID10 deployments of dedicated servers with pre-configured installations and automated scripts

With useful extensions the hosting and server provider EUserv Internet (www.euserv.com) supports customers with the rollout of dedicated server environments in it´s own data center.

Time savings through increased degree of automation allows server customers the focus on their own business and reduces the effort for initial installations considerably.

Server with RAID5 and RAID10 operating system as out-of-the-box solution
After the provision of the naked dedicated servers (so-called 'Bare Metal') an operating system is required. In most cases, two or more hard drives or SSD's are built in the servers. EUserv provides preconfigured RAID5 or RAID10 operating systems specifically for servers with three or more hard drives. During initialization of the server the customer does not need to install the software RAID manually on the server after completion of installation, the server will be provided with a fully configured RAID5 or RAID10. Currently the operating systems Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS are supported.

Automatic setup of services
In addition EUserv provides an automatic and customized follow-up of the operating system installation. The scripted tasks that are carried out following a completed server installation, can be placed in the customer panel by the customer in advance. Assuming appropriate scripting knowledge, servers can thus be set up completely automated. Automatic updates, installation and configuration of services or the reloading of software packages are now possible with the postinstall-feature. Users can deposit so called postinstall script templates for each server contract.

Time savings for Administrators
"The time savings for server administrators are about one to two hours depending on the application area. Each admin minute costs a company a lot of money. Therefore, customers are particularly impressed by the automatic script after installation.", as per statement of Managing Director Dirk Seidel.

The new features are available free of charge for all servers for business customers. These include the series Prime64, Filer, Pro64, Filer Pro and Pro64 Flex. Furthermore, the functions are supported by the EUserv Android App so an automatic deployment of a server can easiliy be processed by the administrator himself even to go.
